DPP STALWART DEFECTS TO APC IN WARRI.

DPP STALWART DEFECTS TO APC IN WARRI.

Despite the directives handed down by the Delta South Senatorial
District of the Democratic Peoples Party,DPP, on the 26th of February
2013,that none of its members should identify with any other political
parties in the state without the consent/directives from the State
Executive Exco ably led by Chief Tony Ezeagu, the erstwhile Chairman of
DPP Okumagba II Ward 12,Mr.Otome Dolor and his cohorts,Azaka Ese and
Simon Ejiro have allegedly joined the All Progressives Congress,APC.
Our Correspondent who caught the trio on camera when they conducted
the ongoing APC registration exercise on Sunday February 9,2014,at the
compound of late Pa.Dolor at 47 Emebiren Street,Okummagba
Layout,Warri, reports that Otome Dolor and Co are making the public and
Peoples' General,Great Ovedje Ogboru believe that they are still in
the Ogboru fold even though the 2011governorship aspirant of the DPP
in Delta State has moved to the Labour Party with his faithful
loyalists.

The idea of Mr.Otome Dolor and Co which did not go down well with many
of Ogboru's teeming supporters Our Correspondent gathered is causing
real tensin within the area. A die-hard Ogboru supporter who does not
want his name in print said described the moves of Otome Dolor and Co
to the APC as a ploy to truncate the political moves of Chief Great
Ogboru at the grass-root level.

In a swift reaction via telephone,Chief Tony Ezeagu described such
acts by politicians at the grass-root level as "prostitution and
wickedness". He denied the allegations making the rounds that Chief
Ogboru decamped to the APC noting that it is the Labour Party he moved
to adding that he still retains his position in the party as its State
Chairman. Chief Ezeagu called on party faithfuls remain steadfast and
keep far from political prostitutes as the 2015 general elections draw
near.

MANDATE THEFT: PDP’s STRONG HOLD REVEALED!

MANDATE THEFT: PDP’s STRONG HOLD REVEALED!

It has been revealed that despite the wild acceptance of the Peoples General,Chief Great Ovedje
Ogboru by Deltans and the Democratic Peoples Party,DPP, the  Peoples
Democratic Party,PDP has  won virtually all the governorship elections in
the state.

Prime Reporters  gathered that apart from all other senatorial districts in
the state, one of the catchment areas of the PDP is the three Warri
Local Government  Areas especially the forcados area.

Some respondents who spoke with Our Correspondent in Warri South
LGA said "from 1999,PDP has not won any election free and fair in
Delta State". "on the election day, the ballot box entering
the INEC office is not the same as the 0ne the electorates used that goes
into the office,it is the ones loaded with PDP thump printed ballots from the
guest house in forcados and residence of other PDP stalwarts that goes
into the office of the INEC". "Ogboru even won the last election in
Delta State" they add.

The respondents alleged that there were inflation of electoral figures
in the 1999,2003,2007 and 2011 governorship elections in Delta State.

Other factors that worked against the Peoples General,Chief Ogboru
is the power of incumbency, his quick trips abroad as soon as
elections are over, his failure to cut across the various ethnic
groups in the state, his refusal to visit the people at the
grass-roots inspite of his acceptance, poor media publicity of his
electioneering campaigns and failure of presenting himself in his
election court cases.
They called on Chief Great Ogboru to decamp from the Democratic
Peoples Party,DPP, to the All Progressives Congress if he must
actualize his governorship ambition in the state.

But  as the 2015 general elections draw near, there are speculations
that Great Ogboru is likely to run again for the governorship seat. But with his recent defection from DPP to Labour Party,a relartively unknown party in Delta Politics it is not very clear to observers whether Ogboru wants to win the Delta guber race or not.Keen observers of the state politics are also of the opinion that Ogboru may just be Mr. President’s joker as they say LP is an extension of the PDP.Whether true or not we are keeping our fingers crossed.

Meanwhile,Chief Ede Dafinone, one of Ogboru’s staunch supporters has defected to the All Progressives Congress instead of following the Ogboru’s political train to the Labour Party.

The Aladja Community Vigilante in Udu local government area have arrested three suspected cultists on rampage, while seven others escaped, Our Correspondent reports.
prime reporters gathered that two rival cult groups (Ayes and Bagger) had a clash in the community which resulted in a shoot out macheteing, stealing and maiming of innocent citizens.
When the Aladja Community Vigilante led by Hon. Udumaro Segba who were on a routine patrol stormed the scene, they quelled the clash between the rival cult groups and arrested one Believe, Ejaeta Ayoro and Onomigunranye Pienpien Kukulabe popularly known as Gboko, while others such as Ambrose Osiobe, Onos Shefoh Chicago, Ideh Ayoro, Friday Mugagan, Daniel Okoloba alias Jomapeh, Okoloko Gbidibri and a host of others escaped.

The Aladja Community Vigilante which has vowed to make the community uncomfortable for cultists and other criminal elements expressed sadness that "suspected high profile criminals and cultists like Ekugbe Kingsley Umukoro arrested by them and handed over to the police are being left off the hook by the police without facing trial".

Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports say the Transition Committee Chairman of Udu local government area, Mr. Raymond Edijala has allegedly influenced the release of his nephew, Ekugbe Kingsley Umukoro with the sum of one million naira as bail from the State Command of the Nigeria Police Force, Asaba, while the Udu local government area Vigilante Commander, Hon. Prosper Erhihonjare has also been released for an unspecified sum.

prime reporters gathered from impeccable sources that the various communities in Udu local government area have vowed to protest the release of Ekugbe Kingsley Umukoro whom they described as an “assassin, cultist, killer and armed robber”.
One of the vigilantes who spoke to prime reporters on condition of anonymity said “if Ekugbe Kingsley Umukoro who is a known cultist, assassin and a social misfit could be set free by the police without standing trial for all the crimes he has committed just because his uncle, Raymond Edijala is a Transition Committee Chairman, then the lives and safety of indigenes and residents in Udu local government area are at risk". He added, "David Ukirhe is suffering in Warri Prisons for good job, while a suspected criminal like Ekugbe has just been set free.”

Udu Communities’ Vigilantes Forum has called on the Police High Command in Delta State to prosecute all suspected cultists and criminals handed over to them.

As at the time of filing this report, the Transition Committee Chairman of Udu Local Government Area, Mr. Raymond Edijala could not be reached to comment on the allegation, as all attempts to reach him through his Personal Assistant, Hon.Saturday Moforye were futile.

DELTA GUBER: THE RACE HOTS UP.

DELTA GUBER: THE RACE HOTS UP.

Going by the zoning arrangement in the Peoples Democratic Party{PDP} in
Delta State, the People of Delta North Senatorial District believe it
is their turn to be governor of the state come 2015 owing to fact that the Delta
Central Senatorial District and Delta South Senatorial Districts have
served their turns in the persons of Chief James Onanefe Ibori and
Dr.Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan.

Although, electioneering campaigns will kick off in November 2014,according
to the time-table released by the INEC recently, party chieftains within
and outside the PDP are already heating up the polity with media
propangada. The most recent one is between the Secretary to the
State Government,Comrade Ovuzuorie Macauley and the State party
Chairman,Chief Peter Nwaoboshi. Nwaoboshi like every other man from Delta North Senatorial
District believes it is their turn to be governor due to the zoning
arrangement while Comrade Ovuzuorie Macauley in a media chat "opined
that there was nothing like zoning in the party and that if at all there
is,he not aware of it".

With the opinion of Comrade Macauley one is tempted to say that the
SSG is tactically playing the card of Dr. Uduaghan who does not want to
disappoint the Presidency with the People of Delta North Senatorial
District just to protect his senatorial ambition for Delta South even
though it was clear that he  have to contend with Senator James Manager
who is not ready to  step down and his Commissioner for Health,Dr.Joseph
Otumara who, it is speculated is also eyeing the position before facing
the opposition party. Dr. Uduaghan is said to be tactically waiting for the
Presidency to anoint its PDP governorship candidate before
giving his consent and making known who succeeds him. This is just the
example of bye-election in Delta Central that brought out Senator Emmanuel
Aguariavwodo to the National Assembly. If at the end of the
day,the Presidency anoints anybody irrespective of tribe,Dr.Uduaghan
will work for such a person to be governor. But left for him,our investigations reveal, he would like to give power back to an Urhobo man
because the Itsekiri man knows he  is always safe with the Urhobo and
for this reason, he has been playing hide and seek game with the
Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly,Rt.Hon.Victor
Ochie,Dr.Ifeanyi Okowa,Mr.Peter Nwaoboshi,Ngozi Olejeme and a host of
others who are speculated to be gunning for Delta State Government
House come 2015.
A cross section of Deltans we spoke with said the "SSG ought not  to
have  interfered in the governorship  matter between Dr.Uduaghan and
the people of Delta North when the Commissioner for
Information,Mr.Chike Ogeah who is from Delta North is there. This they opine is to avoid
causing enmity for himself particularly within the Aniomas
and the Isokos" even though he is playing the card of his boss.

The big question now is whether  the Urhobos are sure of getting back the
governorship position even if anyone of their son/daughter contest the
2015 election?

While Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi has spread hiss posters in major parts of
Warri and its environs,a cross section of Deltans particularly of the
Urhobo extraction "believe that he is just political business man
seeking for an appointment after elections".
With the posters of Speaker,Victor Ochei and others from Delta North
Senatorial Districts is obvious they are battle ready for the
governorship position. The question now on all lips is if the Urhobos have a viable candidate who can match them?
